It's congratulations to Somerset riders Anders Rowe and Nathan Stoneman who gained successes with their respective National League clubs, Kent and Plymouth in the National League Pairs at Sheffield on Sunday (25th August).

Rowe and his team-mate Drew Kemp steered Kent to the title, the duo scoring 18 points in their group and then dropped just one point to Leicester who had also qualified from group A in the final. Plymouth won group B with Stoneman and Ben Wilson also clocking up 18 points between them, one more than Mildenhall who were the fourth team to contest the final, and then went on to finish third.

Rowe and Kemp sealed the title when they picked up maximum points against Plymouth in the fifth heat of the final, that score backing up the 7-2 they claimed over Mildenhall (Ryan Kinsley and Jason Edwards), having scored a 5-4 against Leicester (Ellis Perks and Danyon Hume), a race won by Perks who went through the afternoon unbeaten.

Final Scores: Kent 19 (Kemp 10, Rowe 9), Leicester 17 (Perks 12, Hume 5), Plymouth 10 (Stoneman 6, Wilson 4), Mildenhall 8 (Kinsley 6, Edwards 2)
