Garry May and his Somerset Select side take a slender two-point lead down to the Colisseum, Plymouth on Friday night for the second leg of the South Western Challenge.

Despite playing major roles in the 46-44 home win neither of the two overseas riders that Garry May drafted in that night to 'take a look at', are available for the concluding leg. Zach Cook has had to travel to Sweden for early practice on Saturday as he looks to help the Australian U21 side successfully negotiate their qualifying round against Scandinavian nations Sweden, Finland and Denmark, which Nicolas Vicentin is engaged in Saturday's European Pairs meeting hosted by the Terenzano Club in Italy.

So, regular Rebel Valentin Grobauer joins the Select side as too will Ryan Terry-Daley with Todd Kurtz, Henry Atkins, Anders Rowe, Saul Bulley and Cradley's Luke Harris retained in Garry May's seven.
Opponents Plymouth have their latest recruit, David Wallinger, due to make his Gladiator's debut but will be without Ben Wilson.
Ben Barker continues to make a guest appearance for his home county club in this challenge.

Plymouth - 1. Ben Barker, 2. Adam Extance, 3, David Wallinger, 4. Richard Andrews (Capt), 5. Nathan Stoneman, 6. Adam Sheppard, 7. Jamie Bursill
Somerset Select - 1. Todd Kurtz (Capt), 2. Luke Harris, 3. Henry Atkins, 4. Valentin Grobauer, 5. Anders Rowe, 6. Ryan Terry-Daley, 7. Saul Bulley

For those unable to travel to Plymouth on Friday, there will be British Speedway Sidecar racing at the Oaktree Arena from 7pm featuring the Second Round of the British Championships.
